For the Pasta:
- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1 lb fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
For the Sauce:
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1. Boil Your Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti or linguine and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- 2. Sauté Garlic
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Once bubbly, add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
- 3. Cook the Shrimp
- Add the fresh shrimp to the skillet. Cook until they turn pink and opaque, approximately three minutes per side.
- 4. Mix in the Sauce
- Stir in lemon juice and chopped parsley. If necessary, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- 5. Combine Everything
- Gently toss the drained pasta with the shrimp mixture until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 6. Serve It Up
- Transfer to plates or bowls and garnish with additional parsley if desired.
