Instructions
For the Broth:
- 1. In a large pot over medium heat, combine chicken or vegetable broth with soy sauce and mirin.
- 2. Bring to a gentle simmer while stirring occasionally.
For the Noodles:
- 1. Cook ramen noodles according to package instructions until firm yet tender.
- 2. Drain and set aside.
For the Toppings:
- 1. For soft-boiled eggs, bring a small pot of water to boil. Carefully lower in eggs and boil for exactly six minutes.
- 2. Transfer eggs to an ice bath immediately after boiling to stop cooking.
- Assembling Your Bowl:
- 1. Divide cooked noodles into bowls.
- 2. Pour hot broth over each bowl until noodles are submerged.
- 3. Halve soft-boiled eggs and place on top of noodles.
