Instructions
- 1. Prepare the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- 2. Mix the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center, pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- 3. Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead gently for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4. First Rise: Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- 5. Shape It Up: After rising, punch down the dough and transfer it to an oiled baking sheet. Stretch into shape using your fingers to create dimples.
- 6. Add Toppings & Bake: Drizzle more olive oil over top, sprinkle with fresh herbs and flaky sea salt. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
