- 8 oz linguine or fettuccine
- Salt (for boiling water)
For the Shrimp:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
For the Sauce:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
For the Pasta:
- 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
For the Shrimp:
- 2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about one minute). Toss in shrimp seasoned with Cajun seasoning; cook until pink and opaque (around three minutes per side). Remove from skillet and set aside.
For the Sauce:
- 3. In the same skillet, pour in heavy cream and add Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until melted and creamy, letting it simmer for about five minutes.
- Combine Everything:
- 4. Add cooked pasta back into the skillet with sauce, tossing gently to coat evenly. Stir in sautéed shrimp until heated through.
- 5. Transfer to plates with an extra sprinkle of Parmesan on top if desired. Garnish with chopped parsley for added color.
