Description

Enjoy soft, fluffy dinner rolls that elevate any meal with their rich buttery flavor and delightful aroma. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F / 43°C)
  • 1 cup warm whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. 1. Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Stir in active dry yeast and let it sit for about five minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour and kosher salt.
  3. 3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix warm milk and melted butter until well combined. Add the activated yeast mixture.
  4. 4. Form the Dough: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients gradually while stirring with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
  5. 5. Knead Away: Transfer your dough onto a floured surface and knead for about eight minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. 6. Let It Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm area for about one hour or until doubled in size.
  7. 7. Shape & Bake: Punch down the risen dough. Divide into equal portions and shape each into a ball. Place them in a greased baking dish and let rise again for about thirty minutes before baking at 375°F (190°C) for twenty-five minutes or until golden brown.
  8. 8. Serve Warm: Transfer to plates and serve warm with butter for extra indulgence.
