Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo is a creamy, indulgent dish featuring tender shrimp and fettuccine pasta, perfect for cozy dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pasta:

  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta

For the Sauce:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook the Pasta:
  2. – Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  3. – Add fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente (about 8 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  4. 2. Sauté the Shrimp:
  5. – In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
  6. – Add shrimp, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sauté for about 3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  7. 3. Create the Sauce:
  8. – In the same skillet, melt remaining butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  9. – Pour in heavy cream and stir gently until it comes to a simmer.
  10. 4. Add Cheese and Seasonings:
  11. – Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  12. – Stir in dried Italian herbs, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  13. 5. Combine Everything:
  14. – Return sautéed shrimp to the skillet along with cooked fettuccine.
  15. – Gently toss everything together until well-coated in sauce.
  16. 6. Serve:
  17. – Plate your Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo and sprinkle with additional Parmesan or fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy!
