  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

For the Filling:

  • 3/4 cup cookie butter

Instructions

For the Dough:

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add this mixture to the yeast mixture.
  3. 3. Use your hands to mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. 5. Place the kneaded dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and allow it to rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).

For the Filling:

  1. 6. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle (about half an inch thick).
  2. 7. Spread melted butter over the surface of the dough and then generously spread the cookie butter filling on top.
  3. 8. Starting from one end, tightly roll up the dough into a log shape. Slice into pieces (about 2 inches each) and place them in a greased baking dish.
  4. 9. Cover again and let rise until puffy (approximately another hour).
