Description

Apple Caramel Bombs are a scrumptious dessert that envelops tender apples in gooey caramel, all wrapped in a flaky puff pastry. A delightful treat perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Filling:

  • 4 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

For the Topping:

  • Whipped cream (for serving)

Instructions

For the Filling:

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2. Core and slice the apples into thin wedges. In a large bowl, toss the apple slices with brown sugar and cinnamon until fully coated.

For the Crust:

  1. 3. Unroll the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into 4-inch squares.
  2. 4. Place a generous spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  3. 5. Drizzle caramel sauce over the apple filling. Fold over the corners of the pastry to seal them tightly.
  4. 6. Place the assembled bombs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
  5. To Serve:
  6. 7. Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle additional caramel sauce on top before serving warm with whipped cream.
